Fashion Shows: Resort 2015
Two months ago the Resort 2015 collections were posted and I was just getting through looking at some of them this week. A resort collection, sometimes also referred to as holiday or travel collection, is an inter-season or pre-season line of ready-to-wear clothing. It was originally marketed by "upscale" stores and collections for those who would vacation post-Christmas/New Year's weeks in warm-weather climates. Resort collections cover day and evening attire which is why you will often find full-length gowns. Not all my favorite designers had collections I particularly loved this time. Usually I gush over Alice & Olivia and Erith Fetherston but there were others that won me over, including these four...

Oscar de la Renta is always on my favorites list. He is the King of fashion and is known for his elegant touch and ability to know what women love to wear most. His collection surprisingly goes from quirky to fancy and has a lot of patterns and shapes. These two dresses are so princess-like they don't even need crowns.

Christian Siriano's collections are like sticking your hand in a bag of candy and not knowing what you're going to pull out. His pieces are always surprising and so full of character. His resort collection included a lot of neon colors and stripes but I, for some reason, fell for the all black dresses. Aren't they lovely?

I really liked the soft ethereal colors that Elie Saab's collection featured. It was extremely hard to pick just two and I went back and forth with my choices. I highly suggest browsing this collection as there are such beautiful and extremely feminine pieces.

So much of the collection by Marchesa is filled with lacey goodness. Though there are only seventeen pieces in total, it's enough to make you feel like you stepped in a fairytale world. Both of these are red carpet-worthy!
Have you been keeping up with the recent fashion shows? Which collection is your favorite from these four I mentioned?
