15 Years of Urban Decay

Hello, lovelies! Jenmarie's internet access has been limited due to computer troubles so I'm posting in her place today. She misses the blog and all of you very much, and of course she can't wait to get back online and catch up on all the glorious Fashion Week shows we've been seeing! So here's hoping the computer faeries come along and help her out soon.

In the meantime, let's talk make-up. Specifically Urban Decay. We love Urban Decay, and this year the cruelty-free, occasionally Marley Approved (vegan) beauty line is turning fifteen! I thought it was a good time to stop and spread the Urban Decay love...

The new 24/7 Anniversary Collection. Get it at: Urban Decay, Macy's, Sephora; $92.

In honor of turning the big 1-5, Urban Decay has released a stellar new limited edition box set featuring one of the best-selling (and one of my favorite) products, the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils, in fifteen colors! This is a dream come true for fans of these pencils. Fourteen of the colors are staples in the line: Stray Dog, Corrupt, Bourbon, Midnight Cowboy, Baked, Stash, Mildew, Electric, Binge, Ransom, Asphyxia, Rockstar, Zero and Uzi. For me personally, Zero is the ultimate. If I'm not wearing the Liquid Liner in Oil Slick then I'm almost always wearing my Glide-On pencil in Zero. But the fifteenth color in the box set has fully captured my attention: Perversion is a new addition to the collection and it's being marketed as their blackest black ever! I'm just itching to try it out. To my knowledge it isn't yet available outside of the box set, but you can get it in the Liquid Liner and eyeshadow. The set also comes with Urban Decay's infamous Grind House double-barrel sharpener. The whole kit and caboodle is valued at $264!

My Alice in Wonderland: Book of Shadows palette back when it was new and pretty. See me using it in Get the Look: Little Boots at Live Lounge and How to Curl Your Hair with a Flat Iron. Also check out Finding Urban Decay's "Alice" in the Real World. This set was actually my introduction to Urban Decay. I had been a strictly MAC beauty-ista until the moment I tried these eyeshadows. By now I'm sure everyone knows that Urban Decay bakes their eyeshadows, which is the reason for their unmatched vivid color. I love that if you apply them with a bit of water they go on even stronger!

Urban Decay primer potion and eyeshadow in Sin.

One of my Christmas gifts from my parents was my complete Urban Decay wishlist, which included the Eyeshadow Primer Potion in its new shade, Sin, and the matching eyeshadow (also found as "Drink Me, Eat Me" in the Alice palette above). Sin is my favorite shade that Urban Decay produces because it matches the porcelain look that I try to achieve while also having a soft bit of shimmer. It's the perfect base when I'm doing a smokey eye, or it stands alone as a light bit of color when I want to zero in on a winged eyeliner look. I use these two wonderful products daily and can't get enough!

What about you, readers? Are you addicted to Urban Decay, too? I'd love to know about your favorite products, sets and shades!
