Friday Fame: B. Makowsky

Bruce Makowsky is one of my favorite handbag designers. His line, B. Makowsky, offers fine leather, beautiful hardware and chic, stylish designs. Everything that goes into the creation of a B. Makowsky bag is of top quality and the results are classy, fashionable accessories at prices more affordable than other designer handbags. Not only this, but he’s married to another of my favorite handbag designers: the fabulous Kathy van Zeeland!

Recently B. Makowsky has branched out into another avenue of fashion: be still my beating heart, he now makes shoes!

Pat design in Black.

Jade design in Black/White Snake

Reba design in Bronze Leather

Needless to say, I had very high expectations for Bruce’s shoe line and I wasn’t disappointed. I love the cute tie-back in the Pat design, and I’m absolutely crazy about the black-and-white snakeskin pattern which is available in several of the designs. The same attention to detail that goes into B. Makowsky’s bags definitely goes into his shoes as well. I love the way each design offers so much character without overtaking the rest of your outfit. These pieces are so practical as well as stylish, just like the handbags that have made B. Makowsky a respected name in the fashion world for the past four years.

To the best of my knowledge, B. Makowsky shoes are only available on QVC and Zappos, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before they appear in the same places you can find B. Makowsky handbags - that includes major department stores such as Macy’s and Von Maur. I would love to be able to shop through them in person!
